Natural Ways to Zap Chest Acne

If you are prone to facial acne in your teenage or adult years, then it is likely that the acne will work its way down your neck and perhaps to your chest. Chest acne is more prevalent in men than it is in women, but both young and old can suffer from this skin disorder. Chest acne is considered more severe by dermatologists than traditional teenage acne and is therefore more difficult to get rid of.



What Is Chest Acne?

Chest acne occurs anywhere from your collarbone down to your waist line. More commonly, it appears only across the upper chest and the top of the breasts, but it can become very severe between the breasts in women. Much like facial acne, chest acne is often made worse by excessive sweating or any type of activity that will force your body to produce excess oils in the skin’s pores.

How Is Chest Acne Different From Facial Acne?

Although anyone with acne will always suffer from the pain, irritation, and discomfort that is associated with this skin problem, chest acne actually has one advantage over facial acne, which is that it can be kept out of sight. The only real problem occurs if you enjoy going to the beach, the full, or wearing clothing that may expose this skin.

On the downside, chest acne can be very difficult to get rid of because this is a part of your body that is very prone to sweating. The pores that are located in the central part of your upper chest can produce a great deal of sweat and oil, both of which can serve to clog the pores, creating pimples and potentially bacterial infections.

What Causes Chest Acne?

There are many different causes for all types of acne home and with the possible exception of teenage or adolescent acne, there are usually many changes that a person can make that will help to reduce the problem. Of course, most individuals will start out by using a topical treatment such as salicylic acid, which is designed to dry out the surface of the skin and prevent oils and debris from clogging pores.

Being overweight can also make chest acne considerably worse, since acne can become more prevalent in the folds of fat and someone who is overweight or obese will find that they sweat more than someone who is carrying less weight.

Chest acne can also because by a diet that is rich in processed foods, lack of hygiene, hormonal imbalances, or allergic reactions to fabrics, cleansers, or any type of topical solution. In many cases, by simply making a change to natural fibers, using natural laundry detergent, and changing the kind of soap that you use on your body, you may see a reduction in chest acne.

What Natural Remedies Can Help?

Among the different natural remedies that can help to reduce outbreaks of chest acne, one thing that is very beneficial for a number of people is to cleanse the area thoroughly at least once a day, and preferably in the morning and at night. By taking a shower and using some type of lately abrasive sponge or loofah, you will be able to eliminate dead cells and reduce the risk of infection. Ideally, you should use some type of natural cleansing product that can also help to dry out excess oil production.

In other natural remedy that can be used topically to treat chest acne is some type of natural mask. These can be purchased in a pharmacy or you can make one your own by using natural ingredients that you may have in your kitchen and an acne fighting ingredients such as tea tree oil which can be purchased in any health food store. Tea tree oil has been proven to treat acne effectively though it should never be used directly on the skin in its pure form.

Can A Change In Diet Help Your Chest Acne?

A change in diet is one of the best things that you can do to reduce your chances of acne outbreaks and will also have a number of other benefits in your life. Although there is no direct link between fatty foods and acne outbreaks, the truth is that foods that are deep fried or made with animal fats can increase oil production in your skin’s pores.

Processed foods are a staple in the diets of many people these days, but they contain a number of toxins, chemicals, additives, fillers, and essentially unknown ingredients. By eating a diet that is natural and refraining from consuming as many processed, sugary, or fatty foods as possible, you will probably find that all of your acne is improved. The healthy and natural diet will reduce chest acne, facial acne, back acne, and adult acne as well.

    This is a good topic and eye catchy. Many things are mention in it. First of all, I think, cleanness is utmost important along with natural/home remedy. Here is one home remedy. I think it can help you how to get rid of acne: 2 tablespoons of honey + 1 teaspoon of cinnamon mix together until they are thoroughly blended and have formed a sort of paste. Apply the mask to your face (or spot treat) and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off completely, and pat your face dry. This is a sticky mixture, so make sure you have some paper towels at on hand.
